Current Sprint Cup Series Point Standings

After 15 of 36 races:

1) 17-Matt Kenseth [1 win], 565
2) 88-Dale Earnhardt Jr. [1 win], 561, -4
3) 16-Greg Biffle [1 win], 548, -17
4) 48-Jimmie Johnson [2 wins], 532, -33
5) 11-Denny Hamlin [2 wins], 514, -51
6) 29-Kevin Harvick, 504, -61
7) 56-Martin Truex Jr., 497, -68
8) 14-Tony Stewart [2 wins], 491, -74
9) 15-Clint Bowyer, 481, -84
10) 2-Brad Keselowski [2 wins], 458, -107

Dale Earnhardt Jr. is moving up in the standings, and although he gained no positions this week after winning he did gain six points. Now the 88 team sets within four points of first in the standings, and could soon be leading the points for the first time since 2004. Meanwhile, three drivers in the top ten in points have yet to net their first win of 2012. One of those drivers, Clint Bowyer, continued a strong season at Michigan, but could still be endanger of falling out of the top ten and having to win to vie for that wild-card spot in the Chase.
